Duke & Duchess Stop By

Duke & Duchess Stop By

The Duke and Duchess of Devonshire dropped in to their local when the Devonshire Arms at Pilsley reopened after a 16-week refurbishment.
The traditional inn, which was returned to the management of the Chatsworth Estate in 2008 after several years, had been closed for 16 weeks for refurbishment and now boasts a modern bar and seven bedrooms, each named after different farms on the Chatsworth Estate, as well as welcoming open fires for cooler days, providing the perfect mix of modern comfort with traditional pub character.
Also on hand to greet guests was Lee Vye, front of house manager. Lee said: “The most important thing to me is ensuring that our guests are happy. I encourage all my team to welcome visitors as if they were welcoming friends into their own home.”
