Luscious Locks
Using a hair treatment once a week can help offset the drying and colour-fading effects of the sun. Try to avoid over-styling but if you do find yourself reaching for those trusty straighteners, apply a heat defence spray beforehand. Use a salt spray for natural surf inspired curls, perfect for the beach.

Minimalist Make Up
Warmer weather calls for lighter, sheerer make-up, so ditch heavy foundation in favour of mineral make-up, tinted moisturiser and bronzer. Waterproof mascara isn’t only a swimming essential; its formula means that it can withstand the hottest of temperatures without smudging.

Happy Hands
Most women pay more attention to their hands during the cold weather, not realising that the sun is a far bigger ageing factor. Thankfully, there’s no need to break the bank on an expensive hand cream. Simply opt for a cheaper version or use your regular SPF moisturiser.

You’ll find more top beauty tips in the July issue of Sixer.
